Garmin has introduced its first GPS-running smartwatches, Forerunner 265 series and Forerunner 965. The watches feature AMOLED displays that are easy to read and have a touchscreen for quick access to health features and notifications. They are designed to be lightweight and suitable for all distances.
The Forerunner 265 is designed to help athletes improve their performance and efficiency on race day.
It includes performance monitoring tools like VO2 max, performance condition, and training effect. Athletes can take advantage of two adaptive training plan options, enter race information into the Garmin Connect calendar and receive daily suggested workouts, or use free Garmin Coach plans from expert coaches.
The watch also features PacePro, which provides grade-adjusted pacing guidance for selected courses or distances. SatIQ TM technology and multi-band GPS ensure superior positioning accuracy even in challenging environments.
The Forerunner 265 tracks overall well-being 24/7 with features such as a wrist-based Pulse Ox sensor, Body Battery TM energy monitoring, advanced sleep monitoring, and stress tracking. It also includes connected features like smart notifications, music downloads from premium subscriptions, incident detection, assistance and LiveTrack.
The Forerunner 265 is available in two sizes, the 42mm Forerunner 265S offers up to 24 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 15 days in smartwatch mode, while the 46mm Forerunner 265 offers up to 20 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 13 days in smartwatch mode.

The Forerunner 965 is designed for athletes who strive to be the best.
It builds upon the features of the Forerunner 265 with additional performance metrics, built-in mapping, and the ability to store more songs on the watch.
The new load ratio feature helps athletes track their short-term to mid-term load ratio, while real-time stamina insights track and manage their exertion levels to prevent burnout.
ClimbPro provides real-time information on current and upcoming climbs, while full-colour, built-in maps help athletes navigate their routes.
The Forerunner 965 also features a lightweight titanium bezel, a 47mm case size, and Garmin’s largest AMOLED display at 1.4 inches. Battery life is up to 31 hours in GPS mode and up to 23 days in smartwatch mode.
Forerunner 965 will be available in Garmin Brand Stores by the end of April at a suggested retail price of RM 2,970.
