adidas is introducing Move For The Planet, an exciting global initiative to unite sporting communities worldwide through collective action.
adidas urges action by pledging to donate to Common Goal for every 10 minutes of activity logged in the adidas Running app from June 1-12. With a goal of up to €1.5m, this initiative supports sustainability projects worldwide that use sports to educate and engage communities.
Common Goal will allocate funds from Move For The Planet to projects in countries like Colombia, Greece, South Africa, and Pakistan. These initiatives range from sustainable sports pitch renovations to training programs on reducing plastic waste, targeting areas heavily affected by climate change.
Move For The Planet is one of adidas’ sustainability initiatives in their ongoing mission to prioritize the planet alongside athletes. With their commitment to replace virgin polyester with recycled polyester in products by 2024, adidas is ahead of schedule.
JOIN MOVE FOR THE PLANET WITH ADIDAS RUNNERS KUALA LUMPUR (ARKL)
Move For The Planet’s series of activations closes off with a special adidas Runners Kuala Lumpur (ARKL) run designed to encourage the local running community to come together to champion sport for positive change. Set for 8 June 2023, runners will begin their run at the adidas Brand Center at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur for an evening run under the Kuala Lumpur skyline.
