Kuala Lumpur’s premier running event, KLSCM 2023, began its 15th edition with the 5km, Boost Juice 10km, and Kids Dash categories today.
The Half and Full Marathons will take place on the second day, making it a festive weekend of running. This event holds a prestigious Road Race Label from World Athletics, making it the only one in the country with such status.
On the first day, the Boost Juice 10km race saw a debutant, Elkanah Arusey from Kenya, winning the Men’s Open category in 32:23.
Malaysia’s Wong Yize took second place in 34:30, and Malaysia’s Azwan Bunjing finished third in 35:19.
In the Women’s Open, Kenya’s Njoroge Alice Kabura won in 40:44, with Malaysia’s Chan Ann Sze as the runner-up in 42:44, and Nurul Juliana Shakira Abdul Halim in third with a time of 43:00.
