After a two-year hiatus, the highly anticipated Powerman Malaysia Duathlon 2022 returned with a vengeance and took the sporting world by storm.

National duathlete Tahira Najmunisaa Muhammad who grabbed a silver medal in the Hanoi Southeast Asian Games succeeded in a triumphant performance in the Women’s Classic category covering a distance of 80KM.

The athletic mother won the race by finishing in 3:14:08s, ahead of Singapore’s Xinhui Su (3:29:41s) and national athlete Chong Hui Xin (3:38:33s).

The annual 17th edition duathlon was held on the 29th and 30th of October 2022, with a race course of 80KM in Dataran Putrajaya. This year’s iconic finish location under the giant arch of Perbadanan Putrajaya was fittingly stunning for the best race climaxes that the event has ever seen.

With a whopping 4,300 record-breaking participants registered this meant the Asian event clinched the World’s Largest Duathlon title, knocking the previous title holder, the London Duathlon, off the top of the podium.
