Tokyo is one of the most exciting cities on Earth. The metropolis has one of the most diverse and fascinating sceneries, and it has the allure and enchantment in the city both day and night.
Tokyo is a city that we don’t mind revisiting. Do you know that the name the former name of Tokyo is called the Edo? ASICS Malaysia mailed the Edo Era Tribute Collection to us, and the first glance of the new shoe collection has struck us on. It is not difficult to see why we are enamoured of the Edo-inspired running shoe.
Not only is the running shoe aesthetically pleasing, but it is also eco-friendly. Inspired by Tokyo’s beautiful lights and vibrant streets, the shoes are detailed with gold laces. Crafted from recycled materials, the Edo Era Tribute Collection comes at a pertinent time for Japan. Tokyo may have missed the Olympics this year, but 2021 will see the world turn its gaze to the greatest show on Earth and issues such as sustainability, and eco-friendly approaches to sports.
We have tested the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 22 and are in love with its soft insole. It is updated with a one-piece upper mesh that’s combined with a seamless 3D print construction, which balances support and comfort around the foot, giving you an excellent fit right out of the box. The FLYTEFOAM technology midsole is softer than the previous version to promote a bouncer ride.
Under heel where the foot first hits the ground has been redesigned to better isolate impact. This new heel design has deeper forefoot flex grooves and a softer midsole foam to give you a soft ride. A hard-wearing AHAR rubber outsole compound has been placed in key contact areas to help the running shoe stand up to a ton of miles.
We have found the balance between comfort, durability, and responsiveness in the GEL-Cumulus 22. It makes a solid, dependable, and everyday running shoe that neutral runners or long-distance runners will enjoy running with.
