National cyclist Nur Aiman Rosli of the Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) brought joy to Malaysia by ending a five-year podium drought at the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) with a thrilling second-place finish in Stage Seven today.
For the 26-year-old, the achievement carried even deeper meaning — crossing the finish line in his home state of Johor, cheered on by thousands of passionate local fans and his family, made the grueling 214.9-kilometer journey from Melaka to Medini all the more unforgettable.
The Johor native showcased his determination with a solo breakaway in the final 32 km, only to be caught by Great Britain’s Zeb Kyffin with 10 km to go.
With 400 meters to go, Kyffin pulled ahead, edging out Muhammad Nur Aiman by only two seconds.
