The New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v12 is one of the best everyday training shoes that strike the right balance between cushioning and weight.

It is one of the top running shoes for men, due to its durability, support, and stability. It is designed to be highly responsive while still propelling your stride.

It’s also made to allow for just the right amount of giving while maintaining structure and support in all the right places Thanks to its comfort, you can wear them for other errands than just running.

The Hypoknit upper allows plenty of room in the toebox if that’s what you need but it also offers support. In addition to ensuring that comfort and support, the plush upper uses a stretchy double jacquard mesh that has strategically placed zones for support and ventilation. It is so breathable that you will not feel stuffy or too warm, even running on hot days.

The heel counter has also been completely redesigned in the Fresh Foam X 1080v12, removing the hard plastic and replacing it with a more traditional heel, complete with a padded collar. This is a huge improvement and prevents the tightness and blisters around the heel many runners experienced with the Fresh Foam X 1080v11. The tongue is also nicely padded, and I was able to wear these straight out of the box without any rubbing, hotspots, or blisters.

New Balance redesigned the midsole with approximately 3% bio-based content that delivers incredible comfort: a softer-than-ever heel that transitions to a denser EVA foam in the forefoot for propulsive take-offs. This new Fresh Foam X midsole foam is softer yet offers more control over your stride than Fresh Foam. Overall, the New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080 v12 is a daily training shoe that delivers pillowy soft landings and springy strides that make it a great option for everything from everyday runs to long distances.

Last but not least, the outsole has been changed so that it provides a better grip than before. The rubber on the outsole is split into different zones. The heel and the toe have a hard durable rubber, whereas the mid-section of the outsole has sections of blown rubber. The blown rubber is softer, more flexible, and has a more cushioned feel to it.
